Loosen up the looser ends.
Let it all become undone.
Loosen up the loser's ends.
Keep a record of all he's won.
It's infinitely impossible for it all to come true.
If I came off as rude, I was only rude just for you.
I find I pay more for all
The thing's I've gotten for free.
But you know I guess it was worth
All your money in the end.
I'm smart enough to be just the student for you.

For the Birds

He stays at home for days at a time
Thinking of what could have been
A remote in one hand and a beer in the other
Escape as a means to an end
There's a single lone box
That comes in all sizes.
You turn and twist one way
And your life twists another.
Take all you think you know
And throw it all out for the birds.

Hello apathy, my closest and dearest acquaintence.
Our need for each other is long since dead,
But our bond is as strong as ever
So where does this leave me now?
Because you've made it clear that you won't go away.
I've had some time to build up tolerance
'Cause when it comes to your company I don't have a say
I cannot sleep and it's hard to get out of bed.
Detatchment has latched on and stays in my head.
I'm waiting for miracles; they're hard to come by.
I try to find peace, but these feelings, they won't ever die.
Tell me where this would leave me now.
Because you're making me feel as if I never cared.
I'll do whatever I can just to stop you.
The next time I get up I'm not running off scared.
